What substrate can I use with the Trays?
You can use the substrate of your choice (Vermiculite, Perlite, Water only, Water + Sponges).
What’s the correct ratio of substrate to water?
Since there is a physical barrier between the eggs and the substrate, we recommend a 1:1.5 ratio of substrate to water.
Can the substrate touch the tray?
If using vermiculite or perlite, the substrate can touch the tray. If using water only, water should not touch the bottom of the tray or the eggs.
What tub can I use it with?
Any container with a lid that can accommodate the tray comfortably. We recommend the Shoe Box 6qt container.
Is the tray dishwasher safe?
Yes.
How can I clean the trays?
The best way to clean your trays in between use would be to use hot water and soap or by using your dishwasher on the sanitize cycle.
How do I properly care for the trays?
Do not use any harsh or abrasive chemicals on it and do not expose the trays to temperatures over 300F.
Can I place eggs on the tray without separating them?
Yes. The Trays provide enough support and ventilation so you can hatch your clutch without separating each egg.
How long does it take to receive the tray after the order is placed?
Depends on the shipping option you choose during checkout. UPS Ground take on average 3-5 business days if you are in the United States. For International orders please send us an email to support@easyhatchtrays.com to get a estimate of the delivery time frame.
My product arrived damaged. What should I do?
